This EarthKind Feather & Down Medium Support Pillow has been handcrafted in Britain with reclaimed natural fillings.
Pre-loved pillows and duvets containing feather and down fillings are re-claimed, sorted and cleaned, before being sterilised and heat-treated. This filling is then repurposed into a brand new, fresh premium blend of 85% feather and 15% down that’s been rigorously checked to ensure it meets the highest quality standards.
The result is a natural pillow that’s soft and luxurious, as well as being kinder to the environment.
This feather and down pillow from EarthKind is completed by a naturally breathable cotton cover.

Creating EarthKind
How do we use recycled feather and down
For our natural fillings collection, we start by collecting
used feather and down. Although they feel soft and delicate, feather and down
is actually a very durable and long-lasting filling, which means that they’re
perfect for recycling.
And once they’ve been thoroughly sorted, cleaned and dried,
they’re as soft, fluffy and as like new as they’ve ever been.
How do you check the recycled feather for quality
In the case of our natural duvets and pillows, every piece
of pre-loved bedding we source for recycling is carefully checked before the
feather and down is methodically removed, and then once we’ve cleaned it all,
we check everything again. Only then do we start the process of handmaking our
beautiful new feather and down bedding products.
So how do you make sustainable bedding
1. Natural bedding saved from landfill is collected and brought to our factory
2. Everything that arrives is hand checked to ensure it can be recycled. Down and
feathers are then removed and prepared for the next stage.
3. The collected feathers are thoroughly washed in our giant washing machine.
4. Now spotlessly clean, they're dried to a temperature that sterilises them.
5. The newly cleaned filling is sorted into premium blends and carefully checked that they're of the highest quality.
6. The new filling is hand finished with suitable cotton cases acquired through
Better Cotton
7. The final product is placed in reusable packaging. This is a canvas bag that we hope you'll cherish as much as your new EarthKind bedding.
Are your products made sustainably
We've built our factory to not just save natural resources
from landfill, but also to create zero landfill product during the manufacture
of our bedding. This commitment to making our workplace as environmentally
friendly as possible has seen us certified by both the Global Recycled
Standard and Zero Waste to Landfill.
What is Better Cotton ?
We use high quality, ethically-made cotton to cover
our bedding. This is sourced through Better CottonTM who
run the world's largest cotton sustainability programme. Their mission is to
help cotton communities around the world while protecting and restoring the
environment. Thanks to this partnership, you'll have peace of mind that when
you choose our cotton products, you're supporting their important goals.
Please note that we acquire our
cotton via a system of mass balance, so cannot guarantee that all our cotton
has come from Better CottonTM.
